An opening monologue is given at the very beginning of an Easter church service by a stage "volunteer". He's just as surprised as anyone that he's in church on Easter, let alone helping with the production. He's even moved back his golfing tee-time with some friends so he could be at church. At this point, he leaves the stage and the service starts...with a drama.
The characters in the sketch are three friends waiting for the fourth to go golfing. The missing golfer is...Larry, from the opening monologue. As he comes in and joins them, they all can't believe he was in church. Larry agrees his life has taken a strange turn, but he is glad for what's happened. The other golfers head out, and Larry concludes with a brief monologue to the audience about his conversion. Now, he's found out that God is real and wants a relationship. It's as if his life has gone "from black and white to living color."
