It is so easy in today's society to hit the garage door opener, drive in, and shut ourselves off from the possibility of developing community with neighbors. Yet deep inside we all crave authentic friendship not only with our Creator, but with others. That may mean opening ourselves up to new levels of vulnerability and intimacy, but it is so worth it. Like the paralytic whose friends lowered him through the roof to the feet of Jesus, is there someone in your life who would cut through a roof for you-and is there someone for whom you would do likewise? How will you choose to serve others? To whom will you bring the message of your love and the love Jesus Christ?
