Here's my list of breakouts: A. Leveraging Technology for Community led by Cynthia Ware. B. Removing and Restoring Leaders led by Rex Minor. C. Finding and Launching Group Leaders led by Dave Treat. D. Transforming Discipleship led by Greg Ogden. All four breakouts were stimulating and will be useful for group ministry as it continues to evolve at our church. I think I particularly was intrigued by breakout A and D. The tech breakout provided an interesting opportunity to talk and think about how technology will be impacting our approach to connectedness as we head into the future. The discipleship breakout was also especially great as our church wrestles with the task of making FULLY DEVOTED followers of Christ. I'm still processing these things as it relates to my churches state.

I loved the day today, and I am exhausted. I'm excited to see what tomorrow brings.

One of the best parts about breakouts at the Group Life Conference is the opportunity to connect with other leaders in a more intimate setting. You just don't get to meet people and have discussions at the main sessions. While at a breakout, you get to connect with others just like you and often a step or two ahead of you in group ministry. It is amaizing what we can learn for each other and I look forward to discovering what God has for us all in the morning at our first session with Bill Donahue.
